As the EV Charger Installer for Melbourne, I often get to visit Hampton, a beautiful beachside suburb located 15 kilometres south of Melbourne on Port Phillip. Between Brighton and Sandringham, Hampton is a fantastic place to explore and appreciate the coastal lifestyle.

One of my favourite spots in Hampton is the lively shopping strip along Hampton Street. Spanning from South Road in the north to Crisp Street in the south, this bustling area offers a diverse selection of restaurants, bistros, clothing stores, antique shops, and personal services. I also enjoy exploring smaller local shopping areas along Bluff Road.

Hampton's vast stretch of sandy beach is perfect for safe swimming and is adorned with several groynes that extend into the sea. The foreshore reserve is an inviting spot for a BBQ or picnic, featuring landscaped grassy strips, palm trees, and a walking and bicycle path.

The coastal cliffs at the southern end of Hampton's beach provide stunning panoramic views over the bay, particularly towards Picnic Point in Sandringham with its boat harbour and pier. The B.J. Ferdinando Gardens, located at the top of the cliffs opposite Small Street, offers a picturesque setting for wedding photos, a BBQ shelter, picnic facilities, and vast lawns.

In Hampton East, nestled between Bluff Road and the Nepean Highway, you can find additional retail outlets fronting the highway, just across from Moorabbin's commercial centre. The G.L. Basterfield Park, accessed via Dane Street, is a lovely green space featuring an ornamental lake, gardens, flowers, and trees.
